V.underground's passion for music began at age 12, and he started DJing at 14 with his own sound system. At 18, he studied production at the Soul Candi Institute of Music and interned there in 2009. By July 2010, he was working as an engineer and producer at Soul Candi Studios.
Since then, V.underground has collaborated with notable artists such as Lolo, Mphoza, Jodi Gold, and Shimza, among others. He has done remixes for international acts like Alex & Chris and DJN Project, and his tracks have been released under labels including Open Bar Music, Afro Rebel Music, and Soul Candi Records.
His remixes have achieved global success, with one reaching #3 and another #30 on international charts. V.underground co-owns ULTRA TONE RECORDS, which has introduced artists like DJ Lite and Rona Ray. His album *Candi Roots V2* received acclaim, and his single "Gelo Wandi" was nominated for the MTN SAMA Awards in 2013 for Best Collaboration.
He also hosted the popular local radio show *Youth Culture* on VUT FM, focusing on music and supporting emerging artists. V.underground has contributed to Lolo's album, co-composed "These Streets" with Dr. Duda, and assisted DJ Mphoza on *Candi Roots Volume 1*. His latest album, *Candi Roots Volume 2*, features other albums by Mindgames and Bob Ezy.
After focusing on his artists, including Genvee and Rona Ray, V.underground returned with remix projects from *Gelo Wandi* and a remix package for "Enough" featuring RJ Benjamin. He was invited by Pioneer DJ to showcase his music and speak to aspiring DJs and producers.
